Default somebody please help

Ok here's the problem.... 2005 V6 manual trans, 38,xxx miles, sparatically while either the clutch is in or the car is out of gear it revs to anywhere between 2k and 2500RPM for absolutely no reason. Sometimes worse than others....sometimes not at all.... Can somebody please tell me what the he** is going on? I'm sure it's a simple fix and probably overlooked by me numerous times. I just can't nail it down. Thanks in advance.

Ok I’m no pro but I would try checking the fuel filter if it is not flowing well and starving the car it may lean it out = short higher RPM burst but I am probably wrong. Try this or go to Dealership

Mine did same. . The problem is in the factory tune. It will rev to make it easier for grandma to shift into lower gear when coasting, however the ford factory tune has this little "throttle lag" issue where the car still thinks your moving faster than you are and it is very slow to come down, If you press the clutch while low speed coasting you should be able to force it to drop to idle and can determine if this is the issue. If it does, then the only way to fix it is to get the "coasting fuel shutoff" parameter changed with an aftermarket tune. Send an email to Justin at VMPtuning.com, or Doug at Bamachips.com for help.
