Default mileage

i am close to buying a 2006 4.0L V6 12V SOHC. letting go of a toyota corolla with 32 city miles.
can anyone give me estimates of your mileage with a similar 06? i have researched the model and usually see 19/28. however i have seen a few estimates lower.
this is the only thing holding me up. i know i'll be giving up economy but i would like to at least have a good idea of how much.
tired of having sensible cars and would like something a little fun and exciting for a change.
thanks to all

I am averaging 21mpg in a rural/residential driving environment with the bare minimum of highway driving. This is with a CAI, 93 Octane tune, and an axleback. Stock it was getting about the same. This car isn't going to live up to the mpg that your corolla is getting, but its definitely way more fun to drive.

I travel 40 miles a day, about 16 miles on the highway, avg. 23 mpg. But it drops to about 20 in the winter.

RWD is supposed to have a better potential and be better for handling than fwd, allows traction easier in any car due to weight transferring to the rear of the car (why FWD cars need more power than RWD cars with similar weight to be as fast as them), and is more fun than FWD because you can powerslide and other stuff when you want to have fun.

One thing I always wondered though, which is worse for the rain/snow rwd or fwd? I know people say mustangs and firebirds/camaros are bad in the rain compared to the average car so I wondered if that's because their rwd or power or width of their tires?

RWD vehicles are without question WORSE than FWD in inclement weather conditions. The weight of the motor on the front wheels keeps them from Hydroplaning as bad, therefore better control.

As for mileage, I average about 21 City/stop/go....and about 28/29 on the highway cruising at 70+....(you could do better on the highways)

You will deffinately sacrifice MPG with a Mustang VS. your current car (Corrolla)....but the fun factor when you city drive is going to be a BIG difference!

I wont even begin to get into the differences in STYLING between the two cars! MUSTANGS LOOk GOOD!

I get 19-21 mpg on the highway doing just over 110 kph (65 mph?). Just a bad apple or is there any little tricks?
