Made from Billet 6061 aluminum it is designed to give you more plenum volume for increased horsepower. The swirl design helps promote airflow by breaking the surface tension of the incoming air. They're supposed to add torque but yeah...don't buy one...save that money and put it towards a tuner if you want to feel some gains. I actually began using mine as a paper weight shortly after getting it
