Default Headers on V6

Question for all.
Have a 2006 4.0 and I'm thinking about putting headers and the exshaust onthe stang. I will have to have them installed. Should I do the off-road X pipe or just have them hooked to the cats? I will have the total performance package done with the cold air intake and a tuner. I'm a newbie and just don't know about these things.
