Make sure it's all plugged in good, too. The connectors should all be solidly in place and connected.

not to make you sound like an idiot, but is your MAF sensor connected? once i was putting in my CAI and forgot to connect the MAF sensor to the cable and i was getting a failsafe mode readout too when i stepped on it.

Make sure you heat up the screws on the tps they have very good locktite in them and hold very well. Don't heat it up and they snap off!

yeah Iit is, I checked everything yesterday, but i was also getting it before I put in the CAI too. Also, right at the intersection next to the Ford dealer yesterday, right when the light turned green the car went in to FS mode and wouldn't move so I had to restart the car before I could go. And to make things worse I was the first person at the light! But I forgot it was Sunday yesterday and that the parts dept is closed, so I'm going to go right now before work.

I went to Ford and got the TPS and put it in tonight. 91 bucks . Bright side is, I got to take a peek at some Roush and Shelby mustangs. Anyways, I put it in, and the light didn't go away so I checked the codes again and was still getting the same code, hit clear codes ad the light went away. If it comes back on I'm gonna take it to the shop to get checked out.

Ohh i see. Well disconnecting the battery will take the light away anyways. Thats what the Ford guy told me to do last time, just to make the light go away.

Disconnecting 'resets' the learned values in the computer (the KAM, Keep-Alive-Memory). You can also do clear of dtcs from a tuner device (or issue a specific OBD command if you have that capability).
