I think its a bunch of nonsense Red. I already double checked with technicians at both Ford and a professional tuning shop. Neither of them ever heard of any "press the gas pedal for 6 seconds" procedure. I followed the routine to the letter and it didn't change a thing.

Yeah you must not have done it right braddah. It does work.
IDK about the tune guy, but the Ford tech prob never heard of the Water Leak either.

You could ask a Ford tech just about anything that isn't basic maintenance and they wouldn't know what you're talking about. I'd be curious to know exactly, in what words did you ask these people? Because you either asked the wrong question....or the wrong people.

What that procedure does is calibrate the electronic throttle position sensor. It is NOT a function of Ford engineering and not exclusive to Ford. Just about every vehicle with electronic throttle has the same calibration procedure.

If you want to know if it's real, ask a manufacturer of the electronic throttle position sensor. For anyone that it hasn't helped, it most likely didn't require a re-calibration...Maybe those people have different issues, like yourself.

Maybe it didn't need recalibration. As for the technician, he's the guy they use to work on Roush Mustangs so I tend to trust him more than the internet.

Hmmm so you're gonna praise the "Roush guy" that said No over about 10 people saying it does work? Interesting.

I will add, if you're running a stock tune and you push it hard a lot,
you prolly won't feel much of a difference with the adaptive learning trick.
When I drive back and forth to work, which is a 10 minute drive,
I really don't push it hard.
So when I do the adaptive learning trick, I do indeed feel the difference
with the 91 race tune.

Well technically majority doesn't ensure correctness by any means.

But really I'm just playing devils advocate

Lol, you know what I'm saying. Pretty much if multiple people have done it and have had experienced differences would you listen to them or some guy that says there is no such thing and hasn't experienced it for himself? Moral of the story is it works.
