Default Softer Clutch...

I have recently had an issue with my left leg/knee. I have noticed that it starts hurting when, of course, driving my Mustang. The clutch requres quite a bit of muscle to shift. Before this pain in my leg I thought nothing of it, but now, I'm wondering if there is a way to amke the clutch a little softer and knee friendly.

Does anyone know a solution? I asked my brother who was a mechanic for 20 years and he says there is no solution. I hope he's wrong.

I also have an 05 and the clutch is a bit stiff, which I don't mind. However, if I was in stop and go traffic on a daily basis, it would be a different story! From what I've read on the forums, on the 05 Stangs, the clutch is a little stiffer than the 06 and on up. Don't quote me on this. Hopefully others will chime in.
If this is accurate, you could possibly install an OEM clutch for 06 model and up or research sport clutches and see if they are less stiff. Just a thought.

To get the 05/2007 up softer clutch would require a swap out to the newer dual-mass OEM flywheel and clutch. The parts are not interchange to the earlier years.
