Going for Dual Exhaust Now
Ok, CAI and Tune has done wonders for the car, now have the funds for dual exhaust. Went to Mighty Muffler to get a quote, and they offered to install x pipe, then a full GT500 exhaust system for 750.
Is that a good price?
Also, would that sound good? I was originally thinking GT Takeoffs, but GT500 mufflers and full exhaust just sounds real good in the back of my head right now....
Thanks

Don't overpay for GT500 mufflers from 2007-2009. Up until the 2010 model year Ford used the stock GT mufflers for an automatic on the Shelby GT500. A lot of people overpay for the GT500 parts only to find out that the part numbers match up to a stock part (for example, the side skirts were from a V6 - but because they are off a GT500 I've seen people pay big dollars for them). So make sure you understand what Mighty Muffler is referring to. And as far as price, that does seem a little high, you can buy the GT mufflers and mid pipes fairly cheaply.
As far as mounting up, the GT500 mufflers mount exactly the same, no difference in mounting or position of the tail pipe.

They're supplying the part, and they're mufflers off a 2010 GT500 actually, or FR500S's, one or the other.
And they're welding it all in, because I don't have access to a welder, or to anyone who can weld for that matter...

From the videos MONGOOSE(I'm sure I forgot to ad a 3 and some x's into his username..) has posted, it sounds pretty nice.. If it's too raspy, I can always add something (no idea what), to fix that up, right?
Are you sure you want the system welded in? If you ever need to make a change, or need to do any work on the car it can be a problem with a welded system. This past weekend I changed over to bullitt mufflers and the only weld was on the X pipe to down tubes, so everything else could be unbolted and adjusted easily.
