Default Why is it stalling?

I drive on the interstate to work and back home. So I drive around 65 for about 20 minutes and when I exit and stop then release the clutch it will stall like I'm leti the clutch out to quick. It has happened about 4 times now. It's just when I stop and then take off. Has anyone expierenced this?

It doesn't sound like the fuel pump. My wife's V6 had the fuel pump issue and it's related to hesitation, not stalling.

When was the last time you cleaned the TB and replaced the fuel filter?

Hesitation would probably be a better explanation of what happens. I just bought it about 2 months ago so I've never cleaned it or changed the fuel filter. Not sure if anyone else has either, it has 44,000 miles on it. Is there a fix for it, besides cleaning the TB and fuel or will that take care of it?

The TSB issue related to the fuel pump has to do with hesitation/bucking after a certain amount of steady state driving. Air bubbles form in the fuel pump and then, when you go near WOT or WOT, those bubbles are forced thru the fuel system resulting in hesitation and bucking. If you're cruising and go to pass someone by going WOT, you'll notice it. Also, my wife stated that she had been cruising, stopped to pay a toll and on acceleration from the toll booth (with her lead foot) it hesitated. The TSB fuel pump replacement (under warranty) cleared it up.

I'd try the TB cleaning and fuel filter replacement just to be safe since those are a lot cheaper than replacing the fuel pump. If that doesn't cure it and the symptoms are as I stated above, it's LIKELY the fuel pump.

Do a pressure check of the fuel system.
That is after doing the routine maintenance...

This is exactly what mine is doing. I will clean the TB and change the filter and then have my mechanic buddy do a pressure check. Thanks guys for all the help!!

If needed, here is a recent thread, which relays info on how to clean the TB and MAF sensor.

Good luck with the fix and keep us posted!

Thanks Kevin that helps a lot. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to clean it this weekend.
