About a year ago, my car experienced the water leak on the passenger side and a lot of the electrical box got wet. Since then, all problems have been fixed except for the fact that my gas gauge does not work. My battery also dies on a random basis. I could drive my car today and it will be dead tomorrow, but then it may not die again for a month. Can the gas gauge be causing this or something else?

The fuel gauge is a seperate issue. The 05's into early 06 have chronic stepper motor failures in the instrument cluster.

As far as the battery, 05's thru '06 with the Shaker head units will drain the battery if the HU is left on when the ignition is turned off. But those and even later models also suffer from issues with marginal alternators. Your indiscriminate drain issue could be number of other things: intermittent/bad ground(s), aftermarket electronics, etc.

Yes, the battery has been changed and the car still randomly dies.
