Crankshaft pulley

Default Crankshaft pulley

Need to replace pulley on 08 basic model, every one i look up has only 1 set of ribbed pulley, while mine has 2. am i wording it wrong or is there a different name for it. i included a pic, any help is appreciated.

That is a broken pulley. The back has separated. The "ribs" you see on the front part are from your belt running on it. Those two pieces are supposed to be together.

Get the new pulley that you found as the replacement.

You can see how it broke free by the ragged edge on your "front pulley".

Ah yes, the rubber pulley.
Not as many failures as the plastic thermostat housing,
but needs to be checked often.

That item is called a harmonic balancer. Ford updated the design due to frequent failures.
