Angry Dying 7.5" T-loc Differential

Hi guys,
Been out of the forum scene for a long time... Sorry. Life gets in the way of the fun stuff.

I had originally replaced the stock open diff with a Ford Racing 7.5" T-Loc in 2006 at 45k.
After 90,000 miles the clutches self-destructed.
I replaced the meatball with a new Ford diff around 220k.
Now, at 297,000 miles, the diff is again failing.

1. Does anyone else have this longevity issue? (Any better lifespan with 8.8" or 9" axles?)
2. Does anyone know where to find a NEW 7.5" T-Loc (I cannot find them online or in any online catalog)
3. Barring #2, is there another option to "fix" the existing one?

Thanks for any info you might have.
Bob

It will be cheaper to simply swap the rear end for the stronger 8.8". You can use one from a 2005-10 GT or any 20011-14 Mustang. Depending upon the options on the car it comes from you may have to swap the pinion flange.

Check car-part.com for your area.

Not taking the plunge the redo the whole thing at 300,000 miles.
The T-Loc swap has been under $200 and labor was about 2 hours.
Just trying to keep her alive another year.

if the clutches have failed just replace them if it is more serious then you will have to hunt down a used t-lok or go back to an open differential.

Do you know where to get replacement parts?
I cannot find ANY links to 7.5" FoMoCo T-Loc differentials, parts, anything.
WTH?

Like the thing never existed.

That's a problem with the 7.5 tlok. Can't find the parts any more, and they never had a rebuild kit either when the clutches went bad.

Best bet, for my money, is a Torsen, stuck into whatever rear is easiest, and strong. 9-inch comes to mind. imp
