Looking for opinions on safe mode starts up 2005 v6 4.0 l, . We were starting to do some body work on the car. We removed the drivers door than disconnected the battery to do some welding, with the door off we needed to open the trunk so reconnected the battery for a moment than disconnected it.
installed new door hinges and plugged the door wiring in and installed the door, finished the welding reconnected the battery. started the car twice second time it went into safe mode. I have cleared the PCM by removing the cable and placing them together . This reset the codes, but the safe mode never comes off. I was thinking maybe the PCM thinks the door is off because the battery was discounted when the door was install, the other codes point to the throttle positioning sensor but the throttle seems to be working okay and the car ran perfect prior to the beginning of the work. Any comments with some direction would be greatly appreciated . Thank you in advance.
