I'm pretty sure I depends on what tires were on the car from the factory.

Because iirc some GT's are limited 155mph, which doesn't really matter because that's literally as fast as a stock GT's can get up to governed or not.

ive gotten to 135 in 5th, but than 5th gear stops pulling and i would need a longggg straight away to reach 140...

let's just say that i would rather not go that fast again.

Our cars run out of HP long before they run out of RPMs. With the stock gear (and assuming sufficient HP) 6000 rpm in 5th would be 219 MPH, assuming your engine could produce 550 HP @ 6k RPM.

With 3.73s (and 415 HP @ 6k) 6000 RPM in 5th would be 192 MPH, with 4.10s and 325 HP (@ 6k RPM) top speed would be 175 or so...

Dead stock you can hit 140 or so, with the "pedal to the metal" for some period of time. With moderate bolt-ons, a good tune, and 3.73s you should be able to hit 150, maybe 155 with a tailwind.

Fastest I've had mine running was 144.3, per my GPS, the speedometer read 150. Meaningful acceleration stopped around 138, it took 12 to 15 seconds to get that last 6 MPH--it had a bit more left but you would have had to wait for it...

Here are my "How fast can I go in each gear?" and "How much horsepower does it take to go how fast?" calculators...
