Adjustable clutch Quadrant
Has anyone installed an adjustable clutch quadrant in their 3650 equipped mustang. If so, does improved clutch release help the car in cold weather? My impression is the clutch disc tends to drag when cold, spinning the tranny countershaft causing poor shifts. We live in the non-asbestos age, and non asbestos materials tend to drag when cold. Just listen to your brakes after one day of sitting. My wife's bullitt sounds awful after releasing the park brake, groans moans, a couple of stops, ok. Maybe the problem is clutch release, my car shifts fine when warm. Why do I feel this is true, when I try to put the car in first when cold, it won't go in. I shift the car into third first, stopping the mainshaft and countershaft, and whamo, in it goes. Just a thought,
