I dont think it will add 20 hp with just the x-pipe. I know for sure it wont add 20 rwhp with just the xpipe. xpipes just help your air flow smoother and quicker through your exhaust. I would say the best is Bassani and if u can get that for $200 then take it cause that is a really good deal.

X-pipes are better mid-pipes for gaining horsepower. You will NOT gain 20hp from just an x-pipe though. You'd be smart to cut that # in 1/2. Compared to an h-pipe, the exhaust to more evenly distributed. You will loose a little lowend compared to the h-pipe, but you will have more on top.

If you want a quality x-pipe stay away from UPR! Look at Dr. Gas (the originator), Bassani, or Magnaflow for x-pipes. You will probably gain most of your hp from Dr. Gas, becaues they place their bends closest to the headers which allows for a couple ponies. I don't know how many more exactly, & I went w/Bassani anyway, but I hope this helps.

I went with the Magnaflow; it's a good one. I didn't notice any loss in bottom end, and the mid to top end pull was good. Not going to get 20hp from (unless perhaps you're supercharged), but the power is definitely there. Springfield Motorsport (they've done some of my work) dynoed a stock 99 GT with a Magnaflow catted x-pipe and catback with a 13.4rwhp and 9lb/ft rwtq gain. So long story short, you feel it, but it's not that much.

You won't get 20 HP from an X-pipe. You will gain about 10-13 hp maybe. Go with a real designed X-pipe. MagnaFlow is one of the best. I've heard good things about Dr. Gas too.

You missunderstand me. The x-pipe does not have the lowend a performance h-pipe does. Anything you bolt on will be an improvement over the stock h-pipe.
