Default quick midpipe question

Hey all

I have a 97 GT... looking to get an upgrade catted midpipe, probably X but not sure. What pipes can I get that will not set a check engine code? I have heard most of the catted ones do this

Thanks

George

If you are catted and run all 4 O2 sensors, you shouldn't throw a code.

all right! thats my plan. I think going from 6 cats to 2 cats will give me some gains and sound. and i think the stock ones are clogged... for sh**s and giggles I checked at ford for that stock pipe, $1400!!! GHAY!

yeah. I rarely buy parts from them. I was just curious to see what the OEM price would be (not that i would throw 6 cats back on)

I usually go to the dealer when NO ONE can get me the part. Usually have to bite my teeth at the markup

If you are planning on buying the UPR catted X I would do a little bit of research first. They offer a discount when you buy MILs with their catted pipe.... Something sounds fishy if you would need MILs for you CATTED pipe...
