If you just rev it (such as with the clutch in or in neutral) it will rev to 6500RPM I believe...

Thanks for all the info! I am saving for the s/c and do not want to do the bottom end or heads YET.

hmm...thats weird u guys are very brave for revving so high haha...ive got my limiter set at 5800 and my peak hp is at 5700 so i got an extra 100 rpm to play with. I bounced it off the rev limiter the first time i drove it with the s/c and it scared the living **** out of me...

i think revving too high would mainly hurt the valve springs and promote wear on the cam shaft. anything else im missing?

I'm not sure what my RPM's were at but I do know that after you bounce off the limiter for long enough your engine will develop a fantastic knocking sound! It’s like have a mod that no one has...some people like to hear the whining of a supercharger, others like the high pitched spooling of a turbo. nah that's not for me ....give me a deep knocking sound on a heavy load that's all I need.......

i hate revving my motor while not under load. i have been told its harder on the motor to rev it while not under load. the most i will rev while in nuetral is 3500rpms

ive bounced off the rev limiter 3 times in a year and a half

its not going to blow the car up unless you have so much fun doing it that you just do it for fun.... (redundant)

but our cars are made to be driven, adn im pretty confident that the engineers designed everything to sustain accidents

just dont get rid of the limiter and play a little game called, see who can rev higher w/o blowing anything up with your buddy.
