Hello all, I'm getting ready to make a few upgrades on the 4.6, one of them being udp's. The question though is do I have them and how can I tell? I got the car used and the previous owner made some obvious upgrades like with the interior and sound system. But I can't tell if he did anything with the engine. Any help appriciated, thanks.

 

You could take a picture of your engine and post it and we could tell you if you do have the installed.

 

Sorry for the late reply. I don't have a digital camera but I do have a camera phone. I don't how good the quality but i'll snap a couple pics and send 'em here. Or, unless someone here from the northside of Chicago would come and take a look for me, that would be cool too. Thanks.

 

don't forget the lca's and uca's. you will need to plant the rear end.

I know we have different cars but they look exactly like mine, stock. Usually UDP will have some different color, and you will notice the crank pulley is smaller than yours is

look at the pully, if it says ford, its not udp

all of mine except one said ford on them before i swaped them out

 

They all look stock to me.
UPD are the alternator, water pump and crank pulleys. In case you don't know the alternator is the one that is in your first pic. on your engine in the middle on top right below that is the water pump and right below that is the crank pulley.

 

BraMas, so you're saying that there are only three pullies in a UDP kit? I'm really new to this so please forgive me.
