Will 245-40-18s Rub?
I have a 2002 GT covertible and want to go from 17" to 18" wheels this spring.
I am planning to get 18x9 Y2K Cobra wheels.
If I put 245-40-18 tires on, will I have any rubbing problems?
Any recommendations on where to get the best deal on the 18x9 Y2K Cobra wheels in Chrome?
Right now I am looking at O.E. WHEEL DISTRIBUTORS LLC from SARASOTA, FL (on ebay)
thanks.

No rubbing, not even close. I have 265/35-18 up front on an 18x9 wheel, and 295/35-28 in the rear, on an 18x10 wheel... not lowered, but there is plenty of space.
Ebay will probably be your best bet on the wheels. Check mustangtuning too and consider that they give free shipping.

Thanks ShadowDrake. I was wondering about the 265/35-18s as well. I don't know if I want to go that wide though.
I see mustangtuning has the wheel for about 195 each. The ebay ones are a little less, including shipping but they also include the Pony centercaps and chrome lugs.

I'm still debating the trade of my 17s for some new 18s. Is 295 as wide as you can go on an 18x10 in the rear on a lowered car? Or could you possibley squeeze 305s?

Hyper00, looks like you have the exact wheels I want. Where did you get them?
What brand tire do you have for the 265s?
