Default New stang is ****ed up

So, this morning I go to start my mustang up. It sounds normal and is idleing at the normal amount. I back out and go maybe a 1/2 mile and everytime I put some pressure on the gas pedal, it would not speed up, it would go under 1k RPM's and then die. What the **** is wrong with this? I never experienced this before. Maybe its because it was really cold? It was 18 degrees out this morning. Car specs in case it helps:
96 GT
5 Speed Manual
79k Miles
Stock minus exhaust.

Check your air intake connections, sounds like a gross leak after the maf sensor, or the sensor itself, did the MIL light?

Did it ever clear up or did you just take the car back home?If it cleared itself up I say it was just cold.My car does this after it sets for a couple of days in cold weather also.Try cleaning the IAC or the MAF element.

Yea clean the IAC and take a look at the MAF. If you car is DYING, it has nothing to do with the cold air. Doesn't matter how cold it is, you car should not DIE. Althought with the cold, it may start up a little weaker.

I had a similar problem where my car started up extremely weak in the cold... Figured out my battery was dead [&:]
Now I don't have that problem.

This happened to my cousin, but his was under warranty. After he got the car back the dealer told him that there for whatever reason wasn't enough fuel going through or something like that, i will see if i can get what exactly it was.

this reminds of when i forgot to plug my fuel pump back in, the engine just diped and poped when i revved it so chances are it might be a fuel related problem

It was working fine last night when I was driving. I was low on fuel, but still above the line...

I haven't done any engine cleaning since I purchased it besides whipping some dirt off. But not like I was unplugging things. My mechanic is going to tell me what is wrong with the stang tomorrow.
