SLP LT's are nice. They are hard to put on take it to a shop. I've heard good things about motive gears but FRPP's arent much more are they?

The best LTs are gonna be ceramic, and are also gonna be high dollar. (As in nearing a thousand bucks). If you aren't really mechanically inclined, you will definitley want to have a shop do them. Expect a $300-$700 install fee. If you wanna tackle it yourself, set aside a whole day, cuz it won't be no 1 hour job. The actual part of taking the manifolds off and putting the headers on is very simple. It's getting to everything, and getting the LTs in the confined space that causes the lenghty install. (Starter has to be removed, motor mounts will need to be loosened, etc). As for the motive gears, I've not heard anything bad about them, and there are also a few members on here that swear by them. As I've said before, all gears are going to be at the very least decent. They've all been made to certain standards. It's the install that is the biggy with gears. Make sure they are shimmed right and things of that nature or you'll have whining noises, and take a good chance of it coming out with a little bit of hard driving. Hope this answeres your questions.

Uhm, you'll need...shims, pinion seal and nut, crush sleeve, ring gear bolts, cover gasket bearings for the carrier and axle shafts, and of course the axle shaft seals. you should be able to most of the old stuff without any problem, althought I'd recommend new seals all the way around.

I think I paid like 550 or 600 for my ceramic BBK LTs, but that is not including install of course.

I have an '02 GT with a complete SLP 330 HP Performance Pac (330 Flywheel HP)

Mods include:

* Long-Tube Headers - 1 5/8 inch primaries, ceramic coated inside and out (SLP)
* PowerFlo-X Crossover Pipes - short assembly (SLP)
* High-Flow Catalytic Converters (SLP)
* Loud Mouth Exhaust (SLP)
* 3 1/2 inch Tips (SLP)
* DiabloSport Predator (SLP Tune)
* Underdrive Pulleys (SLP)
* 160 Degree Thermostat
* K & N Air Filter
* 3.73 Gears (Ford Motorsport)
* Rotors - Slotted and Cross-Drilled (Ford Motorsport)

I highly recommend the SLP components. They are not cheap by any means. However, they are very high quality and well worth the cost. The components are designed to work best when combined together.

The entire exhaust system takes a minimum of 8 hours to install if done by a qualified professional.
I paid $600 to have everything installed by a speed shop (not including gears or rotors).

As far as price is concerned:
* Headers $800
* X-Pipes with Cats $330
* Loud Mouth Exhaust $450
* Pulleys $190
* Predator Tune $450
* Note that I did not pay for shipping and handling charges because I picked the parts up from SLP

www.slponline.com

As far as gears are concerned I recommend the Ford Motorsport Gears. They are only slightly more expensive than the Motive Gears and they are a genuine FORD product.

Any questions e-mail me

Good luck with your BBK LT's. If you think your car sounds good now with your SLP Loud Mouth exhaust wait until you put your headers on! You will notice a big difference in horsepower and torque (not to mention a nice exhaust note). I hope your car ends up sounding as good as mine!
