header ?
Well I have done a lot of research for my car... And I can tell you what Ive come across regarding Autos and LT's. I will name the brands I know of that work and don't work with autos, but your best bet is to e-mail some providers and ask questions, because I don't know ALL the brands that are compatible.
BBK LT's : WONT work with autos
SLP LT's : Probably the only ones I know of that DO work with autos.
I forget if MAC works with autos, I want to say yes, but its been a long time since I have looked into MACs because I decided to go with BBKs.

I stay away from MAC myself. If you're looking to put Longtubes on your car, auto or manual, it's a lot of cash either way, so get the best you can so they don't cause problems later on. SLP has great headers, but they are a small fortune at the very lest. Try doing some research on a few more brands like Hooker, Headman, Kooks, JBA, etc. etc. Go pick up a copy of MM&FF. That magazine is chock full of advertisments and dealers who can provide you with any part you can imagine.
SLP LT's will fit on your 99' auto. They work great on my '02 GT auto.
However, they are not at all cheap. They will run around $800 (not counting installation). If it fits your budget I recommend them.

MAC will fit your auto took.
One of the most experienced members on these forums (Code3gt) has MAC LT's on his car, because like many of us, he refuses to pay the high prices other companies want for their products with little if not any performance gains at all.
I have talked to him numerous times about my exhaust before I finally made my decision, and he told me he loves the MACs and that he wouldn't change his exhaust for the life of him. He said he only ran into a minor problem fitting the MACs on, but other than that he LOVES them.
Don't be scared away by cheaper brands like MAC, just make sure whatever header you go with you get them COATED.
I could have gotten SLP for my car, but I decided to save the money and go with BBK, because I refuse to pay that kind of money also.

Good luck with the BBK headers. I'm sure the car will sound great. I agree with you, whatever headers you decide to go with make sure they are ceramic coated. Research the various companies and decide which brand is best for you.
