ive been told to get a camshaft and a new timing chain will that help make my engine stronger for a future supercharger? what kind of cam should i get? If i get some eibachs do i have to replace the struts? i want to make my engine stronger and add horsepower what should i do. I ran a 15.1 at fun ford weekend and i had headers and gears. Im going again an i want to get in the 13's to 12's. i have an automatic and i wanna know the best way to shift on the dragway. It is an aod without shiftkit. thanks joey

under-drive pulleys are cheap, easy to install, and will give you 12-15 hp. but you will really feel it on your launches!!the e-cam, and the f-cam (e303; f303) are both great cams, and very enexpensive. definetly improve your breathing system by using a bbk cold air kit mixed with a 70mm throttle body. it wouldn't hurt to upgrade your mass air. you won't spend a lot doing this, but you won't be in the 12's either. to do that, you need to get a better upper and lower intake, and better heads. or just save up to get a t-trim supercharger!!!! good luck joy!!

i duno about that e or f cam.. i know they r good but my frined had an e cam in his 86 and he had the cai headers and t/body and mass air conv. and with that cam the car ran like sh*t.. ended up being that the cam was too big for the car... he has recently put the stocker back in and runs ten times better..

Well said spike. I run the E and havent had a problem yet

E is a good blower cam but with out the blower or juice the b is more than sufficient

The E is only a tiny bit different when you read thespecs. but it sounds like an animal even in a basically stock motor. (at least mine did) 90% of the 5.0s around here run a B. The E just seems to gel with blown or nitrous motors. And its emissions legal. (go figure) Some say the E too much cam but it worked out well for me.
