i have a serious problem
on my 97 gt the eec fuse keeps blowing out when i kick on the ignition ,we've ruled out the computer, just replaced the engine control module, thats not the problem, the pump kicks on,,but there is a definate short from the plug in by the computer through the body to the fuel pump..so our next guess is the fuel pump relay ..does anyone know where this fuel pump relay is located? and does any one have a wiring schematic for the 97 gt?has anyone else had this same problem.any advise will help,. thanks in advance..
I am looking in my haynes manual right now and it looks like it goes from the fuel pump to the inertia fuel shut-off switch, then branches off...one goes to the PCM which controls the injectors and the other part goes to the Constant Control Relay Module. If i can get my roommates scanner working i'll scan it up for you
thanks
that will help alot i think.i'll pass that along to the electrical dude .do you have any idea where the fuel pump relay is located?my cars been down for a week and its getting to me,you know how it is,lol..i just wish i can figure this out,,

unfortunately, if it is the relay, I just found this...
"Further complicating the EEC issue was a new little innovation called the "CCRM", which stands for Constant Control Relay Module. Rather than having individual, easily replaceable relays such as a Fox body vehicle, the SN95 cars are equipped with a small black box, mounted to the radiator overflow bottle. This box is a sealed unserviceable unit, meaning if one relay fails, the entire box must be replaced. The CCRM controls things like the fuel pump and electric fan, and can cause a wide range of problems in the event of a failure. If you think this sounds like a costly issue, you are correct. Average cost to replace the CCRM is $249.50, and this doesn't include the labor. The days of picking up a $6 relay at your friendly neighborhood parts store are history."

hang on man. I'm looking at your diagram. have a look at all your 02 sensors and see if they aren't touching a piece of exhaust somewhere. I've seen those sensors causing weird fuses to blow when they melt through, it's just a quick check
i think, i already bought that part from autozone bout 170 bucks but it was call the engine control relay module..im wondering if its the same part .i looked at that diagram and didnt see the part i bought but did see the ccrm.plus the guys i have helping me with this, is telling me thats what we replaced.so im completely lost here.they said they checked out the o2 sensors so that cant be it either,,
they think its a short from plug in by the computer through the body to the fuel pump...and on that diagram they could not see a fuel pump relay.but autozone says they carry 2 different relays for the fuel pump but could not locate them.
