Default Nittos?

I want to grab a set of nittos for the strip this year, and keep them on my ride for the street as well. What size can I get to put on my stock rims? Its an 02 gt? Does MT make any tires that will fit the stock rims as well, or is it smarter to grab some 15s for those?

NITTO Drag radials!!! you will love them. longer life, awsome grip on the street. Any drag slick kind of tires you better get ready to put new axles in.

I run 275/40/17 as well

they are Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials

closing in on 4K , one trip to the track, and VERY VERY few launches on the street, tread looks very good still

don't try larger than 275s on stock rims. 275 already is going to be bulging on those stockers. You will really like the Nittos- they have a very long life- however they do not hook up as well at the M/Ts or BFGs- especially at the strip, but they will have a much longer life, especially if you drive somewhat conservatively most the time.

axles depend many on you. If you get a lot of wheel hop and then sudden tracking could snap them. Or if you get 15in rims and slicks and launch the car harder than a old guy on viagra lol.lol. Or some say launching hard with a car that has 400ftlbs of torque.
