Default Muffler Removal

I currently have a Magnaflow System on my 98. Would it be recommendable to remove the mufflers and have it running straight pipes? Does everyone think she will sound mean?

it will sound like an old ghetto rigged truck... if you want louder try a set of glasspacks and everyone says LM1 exhaust is glasspacks (straight through) and is loud but you get a throaty sound instead of just noise

Glasspacks are around 25-30 bucks, just buy 2 at the correct length and pop them in. As you drive some of the fiberglass will burn out and blow out, so at first it will basically just sound like you are running straight pipes. You can pick up cherry bomb powdercoated glasspacks at auto zone and advanced auto parts, so just give them the pipe diameter and the length of the magnaflow mufflers and they should have sme that length in stock. You will notice it will be much quieter inside the car with them installed also, but very loud outside.

hey sebski i have a 01 mustang GT and I cut off my mufflers and welded on piping and it definately doesnt sound like a ghetto rigged truck. It sounds like a bad *** muscle car that you can seriously hear a mile away. I highly recommend cutting off the mufflers and running piping. Heads are always turning when im anywhere in the area because it sounds so incredible.

you sure they're not turning their heads because they are wondering why such a nice car sounds like that?

LMII's for the win!

A lot of poeple bash the old school glasspacks, but i'd say try them and see how YOU like them.
