cobra for gt?
should I trad emy 02 red auto mustang gt with slp catback and mac cold air for a 99 cobra 310 rwhp /400rwhp with the 125 shot of nos and 475 rwt with the nos, I have 29 K on it and he has 61K. His is all black mine is torch red and he has about 10k in reciepts in mods on the car. Should I do it? its straight up and our mechanics will be checking each car. If I do do it what would i need to worry about with 61K on the cobra other than the nos usage which he said was minimal and its tuned conservitively he says. He wants a Daily drive thats why he is intreste din my car. Performance upgrade was done to the 99 he said also.
What should I do?? need input....keep mine or trade straight up? Both are in excellent condition.

IMO, I would take the 99 Cobra.
If the car was taken care of then you will have IMO a better car that will hold the same value as your GT. I recently bought my 98 GT. had a choice between that and a LT1 camaro that was stock. Both great deals but chose the stang because The deal came with almost every both on, rear and fiberglass hood. So for me I am saving so much money with the mustang.

it could be in rough shape mechanically if he ran that 125 shot a lot. me if im ever going to buy another mustang itll be either a classic or a near brand new one, i wouldnt go near a modded out cobra with that type of miles. but as far as a good deal on a trade, thats pretty good. id just keep the gt and get a newer cobra later.
I'd take it for a ride. Hit the NOS once, and look, listen and feel what the car is doing...
A mechanic looking at it is a great idea...
Treat it like any other car you'd buy, and you won't go wrong... Does your state have any Lemon Laws?? That may be another thing to look at.. If you're even more concerned, write up a Contract between you two, and have it notarized to make it 100% legal..

I dont think its that he CANT use it as a DD, he just doesnt want to. I wouldnt want to DD a cobra either. Why wouldnt he be able to drive it if he wanted to.
