Default engine lift bracket!

For those of you who have lifted your engine for any reason WITHOUT taking off the intake manifold, which I am NOT going to do, I saw on alldata and autozone's website that there are engine lift brackets that you can buy so you bolt them to the cylinder heads... I can't find them anywhere, no one seems to stock them.

Anyone have any deas let me know, or maybe I can just wrap some chain around the exhaust manifolds. The engine only needs to come up about 4" so I can drop the oil pan (which is already unbolted just needs to come off)

any input would totally help me... I need my car back on the road soon and nothing is happening now because of a few tools!

Ijust used 2 steel plates. with holes in them. You might have to drill holes in them to line up with the cyl head holes.

i'm in downers grove, IL anyone wanna come help me that would rock and I will pay you in beer or whatever.

I know I get hold up all along the way... everyone says they can get me blah blah tool but no one actually fu**ing comes through for me, and I can't afford to buy all this sh**. I'm thinkin i'm gonna rent a stupid engine lift and then chain it around the exhaust manifolds and just lift it that way, I need to get this done it's rediculous. The crappy part is in my head I can see how everything has to be done, I know exactly how it all has to go down but of course it never comes to be... i can't be the only one running into rediculous sh**

To bad Im so dang far away and in school I would trash with you on that also. Have you thought of useing a comalong? AKA chain hoist, hell I've even used those yellow tow straps with the crank up tensioners, it was a biotch cranking it though. Is the tranny in it yet or out of it, cuz if its out then I got a good idea for ya.
