NEW SHOCKS
Currently, my 1996 GT Convertable is sitting a little funny in the rear. The driver side seems to be sagging by maybe 2 cm. I think it is possibly the shocks, because when I push down on the rear of the car it makes a air sucking sound on its rebound. Correct me if I'm wrong. I found a place to get the tokico shocks like the ones on the 2003 mach 1 for $29.99/ pr. Should I buy these, knowing that I am planning on lowering the vehicle in the near future. Ride is not of the upmost importance for me, but then again I did buy a mustang and not a taurus. I am a 19 year old who has to pay for all of this while going to school, so cost is a huge factor. What do my fellow mustang owners think??????????
I would personally go for Bilstein shocks and struts. They have a great warranty (maybe lifetime- can't remember) and are top notch quality. The mach 1s are lowered .5" over GTs from the factory so installing a set of shocks for a mach on your stock ride height may ( i doubt it though) have fitment issues until you drop it.
