i'm planning on lowering my car 2 inches pretty soon and i have 275/40/17 tires. will there be any clearance issues with these tires?

Sure hope not Im running 315's on with 18" rims and a 2" drop, Installing next week hope there are no problems.

ok with 17s you can go 315 pretty clean, but you might hit a little when you hit a really hard bump. with if you look at code he has 335 but i know he has some clearance issues. it really depends on how you drive the car, if you hit some train tracks at 55 yeah you will have some clearance issues. but other than that no. but you won't be able to fit 315 on 9s. make sure you have at least a 10 inch rim
