FYI, power adders are nitrous, superchargers or turbos. If your looking for heads and cams, my suggestion would be vt stage 1 cams, and get the stock heads ported and polished.

Personally I want to see someone on this forum port and polish the stock heads or get a set of aftermarket ones (aka worked over stockers) on a stock bottom end and stock camshafts, just to see what would happen.

I have a sneaking suspesion that you will see more from the head work than you do from the camshafts, but I could be way off base.

BTW, if you do your camshafts, save some extra money and get the heads worked. I really wish I would have gotten a P&P job at least (if not with oversized valves etc) when I did my cams. Would be one less thing on the list left to do, and woulda made so much more power n/a.

BTW, follow the standard rule. If you are gonna stick with the stock bottom end, stage 1s, forged assembly going in, stage 2.

Wait, 20004.6, are you saying it would be a bad idea to do what I suggested?

anything that can be "bolted on" usually with basic hand tools without ripping into the engine, grinding anything away, polishing, boring, changing internals, etc...

such as:

bolting on an exhaust
intake
throttle body / plenum
tuner (which doesn't even require bolts lol)
tires
under drive pulleys
gears

usually boltons are a direct swap of the old part.

No, I just want someone to experement with only porting the heads and leaving the cams stock, just to see what happens.

If you are planning to go N/A I would definatly get hte heads P&P, or a new set from a aftermarket company, and get some cams installed. You definatly won't see max gains with just the head porting, I just wonder how far the stock PI camshafts will take you.

Look into VT's power pack with the P-51 intake/heads and cams. This might be a good way for you to go if you are looking forbig power gains and want to keep your car N/A.
