I love my Flowmaster 40 series. I'd take anything else to the scrap yard.

I bought the super 40's, in the flowmaster chart they are touted as having less interior noise than the other models, I'm not disappointed. They really pound out some serious noise about 2000-2500 RPM, I've got a catted X, the sound really sounds evil at high RPM's. I'll go down the street and turn EVERYONE'S head from children to seniors! Transformed the car, what I don't have in HP is made up by what people think I have, people won't dare pass me know, the noise scares 'em off. (I usually drive pretty mellow on the way to work, so racing Lumina's and Buick Lesabres used to love "picking:" me off, they don't even dare try now, it's so FUNNY!)

Well, sounds like everyone gives it the ok. I had 40series on my GT and I really liked them. I also have them on my 5.4l F150, which I also like. I agree that ALOT of stangs have them, so you wont really stand out like a set of LM's or Borla's would. If you like the flowmasters and want to save a little bit of cash, go right ahead, you wont be disappointed.

I dunno about u guys but most stangs around my area don't have flows. I know the distinct sound of the flowmaster and the only one that I've heard so far was mine.

Me too I rarely ever run into somebody with flows. Alot more people have SLP or magnaflows or MAC.

most people around me loud a$$ stangs so I know it's not flowmaster, mine is unique with it. It's nice becaues it gives it a nice 'bubbley" rumble but isn't overbearingly loud, and the drone in my car is barely there, it's there though but not that bad

and on the highway i cruise at around 2000 rpm and it's just about quiet inside

Do you just have the flowmaster mufflers or do you have the American Thunder catback?

Most the stangs I see day to day are totally stock, and the few that I see modded usually have something godawful loud and raspy sounding. dunno wtf it is, but its INSAINELY loud.
