Hey guys, the overdrive button on my car doesn't work. the over drive is on, but i can't turn it off. when i first got the car, it also wouldn't work. i pressed it for a while and got it to work for about two days. hasn't worked ever since. Please help.

Hmmmmm. That is strange. I'm not sure what to tell ya. Maybe it is wired up wrong or something. Someone with more knowledge will chime in soon.

get a new shifter prolly just the switch in the button is worn out.... many cool lookin shifters for automatics these days that come with overdrive buttons

Oooo, I'd like to look into that. Got any links to some shifters for autos?

Does anybody here know how to take apart the stock shifter and o/d button. i wan't to check and clean the cantacts (maybe itll help) while i get money for a new one.

If I remember there is a set screw on the right side of the shifter handle that you back off and then you can pull it up. Just be careful that you do not pull so hard that you break the wires going to the O/D button.
