Default Wheels for 98 WHITE convert-Chromes? Sizes?

I am torn over what wheel/tire combo to go with. I have a 98 White GT vert and I sorta like the stock 17x8 inch aluminums. But after 150,000 miles of tires and wheel weights 2 of the wheels are pretty ugly up close. I guess Cobra R's are about the likely choice. Silver is pretty much out. Polished is okay but I've had them before and the care they require with polishing and seeing the rag take off gray and black debris makes me say just go chrome or go home. Anyway should I get 17x9's and 274/40's all around because I don't know if going with 10 1/2's in the rear would make the car sit too high like a cartoon car. I don't think I like the idea of mix and match rim sizes with rears wider than the front. If I go with 17x8's I can reuse my stock tires which are still very good with low miles on them. But I also don't want to buy the wheel size based on just the tires I have now either,in case I see another Mustang with wider tires and like it better. So it looks like 17x9 chromes is my best bet. Can I use my 245/45's on a 9 inch rim until I need new tires and then get 275/40"s? Does anyone have any pics of a white SN95 style vert with various wheel/tire sizes???

mines a 95, i think i posted in a different forum or thread the same thing. Chrome 18" mach 1 rims wrapped with 255/35/18 pirelli tires. I wish i would have gotten a taller tire though, maybe 40 of 45. If i remember correctly, they are 9 inch wide, but i would definatley stick with the same all around, mainly because you know you are going to be burning the rears off and instead of buying new, just rotate tires around. Just my opinion, but im not a racer or anything so do what you got to do.

I dont have any closer pics right now
