Default Problem??

well i put the slp lmII's on wed. but thats not my exact concern.... well when I let off the gas push the clutch in and start braking. I notice my revs go down decently low when im going to stop it has even come to dying once on me while slowin down(out of driving it for say 60 miles or so, like 6 different trips taken with it). Do you think this is because the computer has to learn that all that exhaust is getting out more freely. theres no leaks or anything. only thing ive touched is the catback. oil changed very recently, checked today and its at a perfect level... just wondering if u think its the comp adjusting to the catback and being real humid out at the same time? didnt do it before the catback either

Dont worry about it not dropping as fast as it did. Its not hurting a thing.

If you want it to drop faster you can put a iac restrictor plate on inbetween the iac and the plenum
I have had one of these plates on. And have have a few that have smaller wholes than the one that comes in that one, so it will come down faster. Now if you get too small, it will set off a code. I dont have one of these plates on at the moment, but have used em. Just pulled it off after i got a aluminum Fly Wheel.

I see that iac restrictor on ebay, can you get one of these for a 98 automatic,, another item said it was for a 5-speed. I have really bad hanging rpm's and i hate it.

the reason they say manual only is autos would be more inclided to stall with this. If you try it I would small of a hole as the 5speeds. I belive 7/32 is the size that works good with a 5 speed. If you do this I would try 1 to 3 drill sizes biger than the 7/32.

Edit: the one for the that is on ebay is 5/16, so drill it out a couple sizes larger than than

I have a few plates starting at 1/4 and going up for about 6 sizes. the only plate im finding has 1/4 and 17/64, and the 1/4 was was throwing a obdII code, for a IAC overspeed, which the computer raises the idle to fix, untill the code is cleared. Dont think I tried the 17/64 back when I was using the plates

well its not hanging rpms at all.... it was the rpms getting to low when decellerating. but i just drove it and everything was fine. it was staying up rather than falling to low.
