Last time I was at the pump I told the guy super and then he started to pump 91 (didn't know it at the time). However as soon as I saw him pump 91, I told him to stop and to put 93, but by then 0.4 gal of 91 went in my tank.

Now my question is this:

If 91 and 93 are mixed together, will they separate or will they mix to make 92.x octane?



If my hunch is correct, then I know I why I pinged.

 

you shouldnt ping with 91 anyway thats what most tuners say to put in, 91 or higher octane.

yeah it's not gonna make that much of a difference. Now how many gallons of 93 did you get?

If anything it will be like 92.98788 which can't even be noticed

8 gallons of 93, what was in the tank to begin with? Do you always run 93, and he just put in .4 of 91 and then the 8 gallons plus what was in there was 93? you should be fine
