Default MPH differences with Spoiler?

Has anyone seen a differnce in MPH at the track with or without the rear Spoiler?

I have the 98 GT Spoiler on the stang now and thinking about putting the Saleen S281 Rear Spoiler in place of my old one...

There are some that say that I will lose 2 -3 Mph...

Myth or fact?

Eric

It's fact, I know a lot of people that pull there wings off for just the track. I pulled a 14.5 my very first time at the track w/ a 5 speed. My friends who have driven manuals for years I beat my first time out. And I blame it on my car not coming with a wing. But hey, people are gonna believe what they think. So, if it's easy to remove, get the wing you want and just take it off for the track

not worth taking off, the only thing that i would loose at the track is the 5th tire and pass side headlight.

it's either that, or the extra 100+ hp your putting to the wheels over stock....

could be the spoiler though...

well i heard a rumor from the ricers that if you add a 5 inch wing that looks gawdy as hell then you will add 15 hp. but that is from the 4 cyl side of the world. inactuality how do you know that a wing will change 2-3 mph?? maybe the 2-3 mps is the driver. who can judge 2-3 mph??
