Default Is this true?

My friend also has a Mustang GT and he says if you have the battery to your mustang on for too long(like listening to music without the engine running) and your not able to start the engine, but the battery still works for the lights on your car and radio etc.... If you turn the car completely off and wait for an hour or so. The battery charges itself back and you can start your engine again. Is this true or would you have to get a jump start?

?? Were just having a friendly argument and think were both right. It may seem dumb to do, but is it right?

If you kill the battery, you will need a jump. The battery will charge itself only a small amount due to the way the lead plates inside the battery are configured. In short, if you kill it, dont count on it charging backup.

i believe that the battery only charges itself back when the engine is on. Normally when I get a jumpstart, I am always suggested to leave the car in idle and leave the engine running for a few minutes to charge back the battery... =D

Lol no, he said he was working on the inside of his car working on some mod and said after like an hour he finished and when he went to start the car, it wouldn't start. He then said like after an hour he went to start it again and it actually worked. Thats why I said this was impossible.
