alright.. so im drving home from work and im half way home when a red 2006 or 2007 saleen rolls up..(couldnt tell) (dont care) ..(lol)l.. anyway.. he rolls down his windows and he has his wife in his car with him and they start shouting somehtin.. couldnt tell what it was at first but then i figure it out they were saying nice car and then i yelled back and said the same thing.. we didnt really race.. i wanted too but i know i would of got killed.. i mean c'mon im mostly stock except for flowmasters and a few other small things.. nothing big yet..YET!..i did a run by just cause i was excited and wanted to see what he would do and if he would even go.. he did but it was when i slowed down so i guess you could say it was a respectful drive bye thing a ma jig.. although we both know he would of prolly killed me.. ok fine.. he would .. but shh..

 

Thats pretty cool I always love to see those fellow stang owners as long as their cool. I hate the ones that think there the best around. We stang guys gotta stay together!!!

Those new saleens are pretty tight, but if he is a standard S281 (not S281 E or S281SC) they you'd have killed him :-p

 

was it a S or an SC Saleen. i raced an 02/03 Saleen S281 and was totally even with him. he maybe barely had his nose in front of mine. all i have is a K&N air filter lol.

of course...it was a newer faster Mustang too that you raced. but still...might not have been that bad of a race.

 

i couldnt tell it was like.. 30 mins ago.. its 11:36 pm right now in missouri where i live so it was dark.. all i saw was the saleen badge and the saleen on the back when he did his drive bye.. it was sweet tho.. my first time seeing one in person and on the road..the pics really dont do it justice..you have to see in in person ..driving next to you ..when ur finally like.. holy sh#$ thats a nice car lol..

 

lol yea theyre gorgeous...ive seen an 05 around here...i assume its the same looking one. it was an S281 SC...so fast and so sexy. i seriously couldnt stop talking about it lol. it was that dark red...like burgundy color. it was an amazing car.

 

those saleens are incredibly nice. Your car aint too bad either.

 

thank you!. i didnt notice a s/c whine or anything when i was right next to hime or when he took off.. or do you only hear those at lower rpm's? i thought u could always hear them.. but yeah i wouldnt know with the new saleens.. correct me if im wrong tho.. dont want to sound too big of an idoit.. lol if it did or not.. it was still a beautiful car..

 

im with you on that one. i usually acknowledge someone driving a stang, like a wave or something.
