Default Trac control and racing

I'm still sorta new to mustangs and all and I always thought it'd be a good thing to race with traction control on. Until I randomly found 2 posts saying that if you do your owned. Im just wondering why your supposed to turn it off and what happens to your car when you race with it on? Thanks guys.

Default RE: Trac control and racing

the traction control on the mustang is good for one thing, to keep you from hydro planing on the freeway when your driving fast, and to keep the back end from coming around on you when its raining and you dont expect it to happen (its happened to me numerous times) next time your driving in dry weather get on it from a start and you will hear the engine bog down immediately, basically cutting all power. if you race someone with it on you wont get power back untill you let off the gas and by then its too late.
