Changing lower coolant hose?
If i change the lower coolant hose will it disturb my a/c at all? I know it has an outlet on the hose for the a/c and i was just curious if i would have to get the a/c recharged or anything? Thanks

RE: Changing lower coolant hose?
No the recharge on the A/C is R-134 type frion gas.
they would never mix gas with coolant. there is a separate "intrcooler" for a/c
The coolant hose only has coolant inside it and will only affect the coolant system with air pockets.
If you have a newer 96 or newer, the purge tank(resevoir) will take care of the minor air in the system,
but I would still run the car up to operating temp with the purge cap off. If you have an older style resevoir
tank with the cap on the radiator then you run the car from cold to warm + 10.min warm with the
radiator cap off to get all air pockets out.

nah just drain it, replace the hose and then fill it. Run it with the heat on and when you feel hot air out of the vents, turn the heat off and let it run an additional 10 mins or so. Then top off coolant if needed, take for gentle ride and return to check coolant once more, if needed top off. At this point you should be all set.
