I want to get a slp exaust set up. Xpipe and catback.... does the type of header affect the sound? i wanna get a cheaper header than the SLP long tupe . Any suggestions?

 

Stick with long tubes, because shorties are basically stocks that have been painted pretty. You can get BBK, Hooker and I think VRS makes LT's as well. Search arround, i agree with you SLP LT's for 700+ is rediculous!!

 

Any other brand longtube headers will not work with the SLP x-pipe. You can use any brand shorty header though I don't think it would be worth it.

 

Yea thats right, Slp uses clamps and basically everything else uses flanges. Vrs makes some amazing mid pipes, im ordering some o/r xpipes in a few weeks.

 

So if i get catted xpipe and lp header of same type with cat back slp lm2... will that sound good?

 

what do you mean by this? i was told any lt header would work with minor modification but the slp would be easiest.

 

will the bbk LT's sound the same or will a perfromace gain will be seen from the slp lt's as well as a sound difference?
