this may seem like a dumb question, but i no longer require emissions testing in ohio where i live, im about to purchase some lt headers would it be better to have cats or no cats?

 

cats are just gonna muffle the sound, and without cats its gonna smell like gas goin down the road. id go with an o/r midpipe but that would just be my input. Its louder but more normally leads to more popping and sounding like there is something in the exhaust system. But when you really open her up it sounds bad ***.

 

so cats dont take away from performance at all? i do plan on an h/x pipe just dont know which yet

 

high flow cats take away maybe 1-3rwhp.

 

so if i get the lt headers, midpipe, high flow cats do i still need mufflers. im exhaust illiterate!! thanks in advance.

Headers connect to Midpipe connect to Catback

Headers - Long tube or short tube
Midpipe - Offroad or Catted
Catback - Pipes + Mufflers.

 

i have an off-road x-pipe and it sounds great but in Rhode Island it wil definitely not pass inspection, so i still have the x-pipe with cats for in 2 years
