Default 2v-4v engine swap

I have a 98'gt convertable. I originally was planning on a PI head swap, ported, and adding a supercharger. I am now considering purchasing a mach1 4v engine. First question is would the engine fit? And if so, what else would I need to change from the 2v to 4v engines? Tranny, harnesses, wiring, etc????

I'm curious on why you decided on going with the Mach 1 engine...?

For the price of that engine alone, you could do the PI swap, get the supercharger...and possibly have money left over to start saving for getting it built or other modifications.

I am thinking mach1 because of cost primarily. I can get a new mach1 engine for $3,000 that puts out 450 hp. I figure that is plenty, but could always throw on a procharger if I wanted to! A cobra jet 427/428 engine is too expensive and I don't see a big difference in hp over the mach1. They are both 4v engines.

was looking on ebay under mustang engines. A builder is making remanufactured engines with warranty for mach1's (460) and cobra jet(428). Mach1 says 450hp for $3,000 and the cobra jet is $5,000.
