Hello everybody,

I have recently encountered a problem with my 2003 GT. About 1 in every 20 times i start the car, it will just sit there and crank while i hold the key, the engine wont fire!, Then i take the key out, wait a couple seconds, and Bam, it starts. I have had no other problems in 40k miles that are on it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what this might be before i take it in? I didnt even think that this could be a problem , i thought it was electronic ignition?

 

plugs. probably number 1 and 6 cylinders too.

 

you dont step on the gas before you crank? Ford has a think were you push it to the floor, then crank, will tell the computer that the engine is flooded and not to put any more gas in. anyway.
