Default Towing questions!!!!

Has anyone pulled a Jet Ski behind their Stang before. I have a chance to get a 2000 Sea Doo GTX for around $3000. and it matches the color of my car. Im not sure of the towing capacity our Stangs can handle. My next question is, will I be able to pull a 600lb. Sea Doo out of the water with wet back tires. I have an auto so that will make it somewhat easier.. Any info would be great!!

The towing capacity is rated really low for the stangs. You've got a high torque vehicle made to race off the line It should be able to tow it, I wouldn't feel safe pulling it out of the water with the stang though. Depends on the incline. It's not something I personally would do either way, but I think the stang has enough towing power to haul it around.

the only problem is at least with my car/tires when they get wet they have noooooo traction

but i don't see how a torquey V8 would have a problem with those. Let alone an automatic. I have always been told that if you are gonna do a lot of towing, an auto is better than a manual because the hydraulic trans can absorb more heat while giving out good pulling torque better than a slipping clutch off the line.

it would pull it, but im not sure how safe it would be. Id make sure of the towing capcity first. And if you really want a hitch sticking out the back.

check your brakes too make sure your rotors look good and your pads have plenty of meat left on them as well, to handle STOPPING that extra weight
