Congrats on getting a stang. Go with ceramic coated BBK Long Tubes. You will need a shorty X pipe or H pipe, your choice, also by BBK. As far as the installation, you have to drop the entire front end out of your car. ( member and suspension.) You have to jack the motor up and it is complicated. It will cost a crap load to have some one do it. You can do it yourself it is just tedious. Dont forget header gaskets and bolts. You should do a short throw shifter and gears first.

Shorty headers are not worth a f***. You do not get power gains that are worth the labor of the install.
LT's and an o/r X are supposed to net 20+RWHP.

I have BBK LT's and an o/r x-pipe waiting in my shop. Along with Upper and Lower Torque Box reinforcements. I am waiting on a Tubular K-Member (haven't decided a brand), Tokico Illumina Struts/Shocks, FRPP 'B' Springs, 13" Cobra Front and Rear Brakes, Sway bars with polyurethane bushings, subframe connectors, UPR rear control arms, and other stuff. Anywho, I have a 'while im at it' attitude, so when my car goes on jack stands for the headers, its coming down with a completely new suspension.

If your going to do headers, go longtubes or nothing imo. The best bargain when it comes to headers it bbk and mac ceramic long tubes. With your auto, you have limitied options, but I do know for a fact that slp longtubes will fit an auto, unfortunately they are around 700 bucks.

Too much money, my suggestion is read the install and try it if you can.
