but i don't really have 400 dollars for a handheld tuner
Yea Im in the same boat, Im not paying $400 for a tuner that I don't need at this point in time.

Like I said, Im 99% sure my friends dad will be able to turn it off at his dealership. My friend said he bottom his jeep out real hard one time and the light came on, something to do with the cats I think he said, and his dad turns them off. I made sure he didn't just clear the codes because I asked him how long its been off and he said about a few months now, so Im pretty sure he turned them off. Still gotta talk to him, but thats my plan hopefully.

If you don't have a connection, I doubt a dealership would just turn them off for you because its probably against the law.

So Im not sure.

like I said .. you should first just double check the mil eliminators you have on to make sure they are on correctly .. if they still give you a problem I would complain to the place you bought them and see if they will exchange them with new ones if they wont ...just get the steeda mil eliminators.. they have never given me any problems and are a lot cheaper then $400.........seeing as how o/r pipes are not legal it's not like you can just take your car to ford and have them turn the 02's off.

++++1 i have the steeda mil a year now never had any problems and a month ago i passed the inspection without having to change the race pipes to high flow cat in my slp x pipe

my mils work fine. had no problems with them. check and see if your o2 sensor is bad. the cel will still go off if you have a faulty o2 sensor even if you have mils. you might of banged it around or somthing. you guys must be getting some cheap *** mils cuz the ones i got from mustang tuning work

when i put my o/r pipe on i got a catalyst efficiency code a few weeks later not a lean code so there's a chance your sensor is acting up

When you installed the h pipe, did you use new gaskets on the passenger side manifold??? I went through the same problem for weeks until i pulled it back off and used a high temp copper gasket maker to clean up all the leaks. The passenger side manifold will leak if you dont put a new gasket in there. ALSO, your car determines a/f coniditions based upon the bank 1 o2's, if your code reads lean conditions, that means you probably have an exhuast leak pulling in air before the first set of 02's.
