Default Motor Tick

I am just starting to get back into mustangs again after a few years with a wrangler. i am currently looking at a 99 4.6 5speed with 75k miles on it. the newest mustang i owned was an 89. The car i am looking at is in very good shape and was well maintained, but there is a not loud butthere valve tick. when i started it i didn't hear it, but i took it for a test drive on the highway and got back to the place, it was definatly there. also seems like it was missing during acceleration in fourth gear when i punched it. i have no experience with the 4.6 but a lot with 302 351 etc. i do know that it needs a clutch. would that be what i felt as the missing when i accelerated? any help would be greatly appreceated. </P>

hydraulic valve lash adjusters need to be replaced. Very common ticking problem with the 4.6L
